Candy Corn Marshmallow Pops

These tasty little marshmallows look just like candy corn when you dip them in melted chocolate! Add a lollipop stick to make them easy to hold in little hands this Halloween.

Ingredients: marshmallows, orange candy melts, yellow candy melts, and cake pop sticks.

Directions:
1. Add a cake pop stick to each marshmallow.
2. Melt the orange candy melts in the microwave according to the directions. Dip each marshmallow into the orange candy melts until 2/3 of them are covered. You may need a spoon to help spread the melted chocolate around.
3. Let cool on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
4. Once the orange layer is hardened, melt the yellow candy melts and dip the bottom third of each marshmallow in the yellow.
5. Let cool and serve!

Serve these at your Halloween party or wrap them individually and give them out to trick-or-treaters!

Halloween Ice Cubes

Here is a super simple DIY to make your Halloween party extra spooky! All you need are some plastic ring party favors from the Dollar Store and an ice cube tray.

Directions:
1. Remove rings from packaging and clean with soap and water.
2. Place rings in ice cube tray and fill half way with water. Freeze.
3. Remove ice cube tray from freezer and fill the rest of the way with water. Return to freezer until fully frozen.

These spider and bat ice cubes are perfect for a Halloween drink or would look great floating in a bowl of punch! Want crystal clear ice cubes? Boil a pot of water, let cool, and boil a second time. Add the pot of water into ice cube trays and freeze. After boiling the water twice, you’ll have perfectly clear ice cubes to better see your creepy additions.

Personalized Holiday Ornaments

We know Autumn only just began, but we are so excited to announce that personalized holiday ornaments are back! These were such a big hit last year, we figured it was never too early to make them available this holiday season. The eight pictured above are brand new offerings to the Etsy shop and feature the holiday year 2014 on the reverse of each ornament. Paper Plate Halloween Characters

Here’s a rainy day craft that’s perfect for kids of all ages: paper plate Halloween characters! The sky is the limit when it comes to these paper plate people (we even made them for Easter!). Your kids will have so much fun with paint, paper, and glue, they’ll be asking to make a whole fleet of googly-eyed buddies.

Supplies: paper plates (we used small, round dessert-sized plates), acrylic paint, a foam paint brush, construction paper, glue, scissors, and googly eyes.

To make the bat:
1. Paint a paper plate black with acrylic paint. Let dry.
2. Cut two wings and two strips for the legs out of black construction paper.
3. Fold the strips of paper accordion-style and glue to the back of the plate along with the wings.
4. Glue two googly eyes to the front of the plate.

1. Paint a paper plate green with acrylic paint. Let dry.
2. Cut hair, a mouth, and two bolts out of black construction paper. Glue hair and bolts to the back of the plate.
3. Cut two strips of green paper and fold accordion style. Glue to plate.
4. Glue googly eyes and mouth to the front of the plate.

To make the Jack-o-Lantern:
1. Paint a paper plate orange with acrylic paint.
2. Cut a stem out of brown paper, a leaf out of green paper, and a mouth out of black paper. Glue the stem and leaf to the back of the plate and the mouth to the front.
3. Cut two strips of orange paper and fold accordion-style. Glue to the back of the plate.
4. Glue two googly eyes to the front of the plate.

Halloween Snack Mix

Remember our St. Patrick’s Day Snack Mix? This one might be better. Fall colors, crunchy Chex, and sweet candy corn make this snack mix irresistible.

Halloween Snack Mix | Vicky Barone

Ingredients: popcorn, pretzels, Chex cereal, orange candy melts, m&ms, and candy corn.

Directions:
1. Mix popcorn, pretzels, and Chex in a large bowl.
2. Melt candy melts and drizzle over dry mixture. Stir to coat.
3. Add m&ms and candy corn and stir.
4. Let cool before storing in an airtight container (that is, if you haven’t eaten it all in one sitting).

Get creative with your snack mix! Add more melted chocolate, different kinds of candies, or try kettle corn! We added Halloween sprinkles at the very end for even more color and crunch.

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

Now that it’s October, we can’t help but crave everything pumpkin! This hot chocolate is the perfect treat for Fall and it’s made with real pumpkin! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate | Vicky Barone

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate
(serves 2)

Ingredients:
2 Cups milk
1/2 Cup pure pumpkin or pumpkin puree
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 packets of hot chocolate mix (or the equivalent of two servings)
Marshmallows or whipped cream for garnish

Directions:
1. Heat milk in a saucepan on medium-low, stirring frequently.
2. Add pumpkin to heated milk and continue to stir.
3. Add hot chocolate mix and pumpkin pie spice and whisk until the entire mixture is smooth.
4. Pour into mugs and top with marshmallows or whipped cream and a dash of pumpkin pie spice.
