DIY Citrus Stamps

by vickybarone

Here is an incredible easy and fun craft to do with your kids this Summer! All you need are some citrus fruits and acrylic paint to create these bright, summery prints. We saw the idea here and thought it would not only be great for kids, but for adults too! We had a lot of fun creating our own designs, one of which we even framed and hung up! Here is how we did it:

Materials: White paper, an orange, a lemon, a lime, acrylic paint, paper plates, and a knife.

1. Cut the fruits in half and blot each piece on a paper towel to remove as much of the juice as possible.
2. Squeeze paints onto a paper plate and dip the fruit halves in them.
3. Use another paper plate to dab some of the paint off of each fruit before you use it on the paper.
4. Stamp away!

Have fun making different designs and using lots of different colored paint! Let your creations dry completely before putting them in a frame or hanging them on the fridge. You could even fold one in half to make a card to send to a loved one! Have fun and Happy Summer!
