You might have seen this pretty picture floating around Pinterest lately and, if you’re like us, you got really excited and pinned it! Well, we searched high and low for more examples and came up empty handed. The only thing left for us to do was the try it out ourselves! We hate to disappoint, but cotton candy and Perrier actually looks like this:
While is seems like pouring a carbonated beverage over the fluffy treat creates little floating sugar drops, we think the popular picture shows nothing more than some out-of-focus bubbles.
The good news is that the drink is still a fun treat for your little ones and can be a great addition to your New Year’s Eve celebration!
Ingredients: Cotton candy and sparkling water. You can get cotton candy at the dollar store (or right here). Swap out the sparkling water with Sprite if you want it to be extra sweet!

Directions:
1. Fill glass with cotton candy.
2. Pour sparkling water over cotton candy slowly and watch it dissolve and change colors!
We put blue and green in one glass and pink in another. We like the look of the blue better, but they are both fun to watch!
Check out Perrier’s YouTube video on how to make the drink here.

[…] The pomegranate champagne is so delicious and simple! Pour an ounce or two of pomegranate juice in a champagne glass and fill the rest with your favorite champagne. For a kid-friendly version, swap out the champagne for sparkling cider or try these magic cotton candy drinks! […]
How does it taste?
We liked it! It wasn’t very sweet, but it was just sweet enough for kids approval. We might suggest doing half Sprite half Perrier to make it sweeter (or all Sprite to make it extra sweet!).
