We had such a wonderful time at my youngest’s first birthday party! Here are some details that made the day extra special.
Despite the call for rain, we had the most beautiful weather on the day of the party! With that little last-minute surprise, we moved some of the decorations outside and set up the bucket of bubble wand party favors for the kiddos to play with.
We tried to make the theme of the party as much of his personality as possible. We used bright, playful colors, and even got out a few of his baby spoons to serve the condiments! Most importantly, I had so much fun putting his little face on everything from the cupcake toppers to the party favor tags. His cute little baby expressions were definitely a crowd pleaser and even the birthday boy got a kick out of seeing his smiling face everywhere.
I can’t believe my little baby is ONE!

I love the idea of his face on the cupcakes. My LO is 1 in September. Can you tell me how you put the birthday hats on the pictures?
Your pictures are so cute, thank you for sharing?
Hi Jennifer! I used Adobe Illustrator to put the birthday hats on the pictures but you could create them with scrapbook paper, cut them out and glue or tape them as well. I’m glad you like the idea. It definitely added a personal element to the party that everyone loved. Enjoy!
