Protein bites have become quite the popular snack across the web and for good reason! These bite-sized wonders are full of Omega-3, fiber, and (you guessed it) protein! They can also be filled with your favorite ingredients to make them extra tasty like coconut, dried fruit, and even chocolate chips! Here’s how you can make your own:
- 1/2 c. oats, old fashioned rolled, dry
- 2 scp. protein powder
- 2 tbs. flax seeds
- 2 tbs. honey, organic
- 1/2 c. peanut butter (or almond butter)
- ½ c. Cacao chips (70%+ cacao)
Mix everything together in a bowl with your hands and roll into 1″ balls. Enjoy the tasty bites right away or save some for later by freezing them. This recipe makes about 12-15, but I like to double the recipe and freeze a bunch. You can eat them frozen or leave them in an air tight container on the counter to thaw. When they are thawed, they taste like cookie dough!
