DIY Floral Letters

Happy Fri-YAY! The snow is melting, the weekend is here, and there are only two more weeks until Valentine’s Day! We think that’s just the perfect combination.

Today we’re sharing a super easy DIY project that is perfect for Valentine’s Day, a wedding, or even just some office decor. These XO floral letters require just three things. Here’s how to make your own…

Supplies: wood or cardboard letters, hot glue, and fake flowers.

Directions:
1. If you are using cardboard, cut out your letters.
2. Remove the flowers from their stems by pulling them apart or trimming them down with scissors.
3. Starting with the larger flowers, add hot glue to the base and press them firmly to the letters.
4. Fill in the empty spaces with smaller flowers until the entire letter is covered.

That’s it! Now you have some beautiful floral accents that will last forever!

DIY Metallic Pumpkin Planter

We found our favorite centerpiece, perfect for the Thanksgiving table. This gold pumpkin planter was surprisingly easy to create and looks absolutely stunning!

Materials: a pumpkin, a knife, a spoon, metallic spray paint, a short vase, and fresh flowers.

Directions:
1. Use a sharp knife to cut an opening in the top of the pumpkin, the same way you would when making a jack-o-lantern.
2. Use a spoon to scoop out the insides of the pumpkin and discard.
3. In a ventilated area (preferably outside), spray paint the pumpkin according to the directions on the can. Let dry completely.
4. Add water to the vase and try this flower arrangement trick before placing it in the bottom of the pumpkin (if the vase is wobbly or tilted, remove it from the pumpkin and use a spoon to scrape more off the bottom of the pumpkin to level it).
5. Trim the fresh flowers and add them one-by-one to the vase inside the pumpkin until you have the arrangement you like.

Isn’t it beautiful? Add this to your Thanksgiving table or place it on your front porch to welcome your holiday guests!

DIY Floral Monogram

We’ve seen these floral monogram letters all over Pinterest and thought they would make a great gift! Keep reading to find out how to make your own.

Supplies: Paper mache letter, X-acto knife, fake flowers, scissors, and a foam block.

Directions:
1. Use the X-acto knife to cut off the face of the paper mache letter. Hollow the letter by discarding the pieces of cardboard you find inside.
2. Cut the dry foam block into smaller pieces to fit inside the letter.
3. Cut the fake flowers, leaving about an inch of stem.
4. Push the stems of the flowers into the dry foam and arrange them however you like.

This can also be done with real flowers as well! Just soak the dry foam in water to help keep the flowers looking fresh.
