Chocolate Covered Oreo Turkeys

How about a sweet treat for after Thanksgiving dinner? We grabbed Oreos, pretzels, and some leftover Halloween candy to make these hilarious chocolate turkeys. Keep scrolling to see how you can make them too!

Chocolate Covered Oreo Turkeys | Vicky Barone

Ingredients: Oreos, pretzels, chocolate (for melting), candy corn, and candy eyes.

Directions:
1. Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. We used a Hershey bar, but you can also use candy melts.
2. Arrange three pretzels on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper, with the bases facing each other, leaving 1/4 inch gap between them.
3. Dip an Oreo into the melted chocolate and cover completely. Use a fork to remove the Oreo from the bowl and let the excess chocolate drip off. Sit the chocolate covered Oreo in the center of the three pretzels.
4. Immediately press in two candy eyes and a piece of candy corn.
5. Repeat process on the rest of the cookies and place cookie sheet into the fridge or freezer to set the chocolate.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Our favorites are the ones with two different sized pupils. They look like they’ve been electrocuted! You can also turn the candy eyes in different directions to make the turkeys look extra goofy.

Stoplight Brownies

Our sweet former nanny brought these delicious brownies to my youngest’s birthday party a few weeks ago. How cute is it that they look like little traffic lights? They went perfectly with the race car theme! The birthday boy especially loved sneaking up to the table to pick off the m&ms and snack on them while he waited to blow out the candles on his cake. They were a hit, all around!

Stoplight Brownies | Vicky BaroneWe asked the chef herself to give us some tips and tricks to share with our readers! Here is how she made them:

Ingredients: one box of fudge brownie mix, eggs, water, vegetable oil, and a big bag of m&ms (to make sure you’ll have enough reds, yellows, and greens!).

Directions:
1. Bake brownies according to recipe on box (or make them from scratch!). Remove from oven and let cool.
2. Transfer pan of baked and cooled brownies to the refrigerator to chill overnight (this keeps them moist and makes them easier to cut).
3. Cut brownies into squares and then half the squares to create the little rectangular shapes.
4. Press red, yellow, and green m&ms face down into each rectangle.

Stoplight Brownies | Vicky BaroneSuper cute and perfect for a car-themed party! Thanks so much, Miss Joan!
