Football-Shaped Superbowl Food

We saw this football cheese plate on Babble and thought it was too cute not to re-create. Now we’re thinking every cheese plate should be shaped like something…right?

With the Superbowl less than two weeks away, it’s time to start thinking about all the delicious game-day food we’re going to eat! Click on the links below to see some of our other favorite football-shaped snacks.

Happy 8th Birthday, Cooper Dog!

Cooper turns 8 today! Happy Birthday to my very best friend.

Dog Birthday "Pup" Cakes | Vicky BaroneI made Cooper his very own dog-friendly cupcakes AKA “Pup”Cakes to munch on. I used the same recipe from his birthday cake from last year, but this time spooned the batter into lined cupcake tins and baked them for 25 minutes.

Dog Birthday "Pup" Cakes | Vicky BaroneThe “pup”cakes are made with peanut butter and carrots so of course he LOVED them!

Halloween Spiderweb Cupcakes

Here’s an easy Halloween treat that everyone is sure to love! Spiderweb cupcakes with bat cupcake toppers! We did a DIY post for these easy spiderweb cupcakes in the Spring for this Spider-Man Birthday Party and they were a hit! So, we thought we’d do them again with Halloween colors. Here’s how we made them:

Halloween Spiderweb Cupcakes
Directions:
1. Frost cupcakes with white and orange icing (we just added food coloring to half of our white icing to make the orange!).
2. Using black icing with a decorator’s tip, pipe two or three concentric circles on top (The black icing we used here was thicker than the red icing from the Spider-Man cupcakes. They are the same brand, but the black doesn’t pull as smoothly with the toothpick as the red).
3. Drag a clean toothpick from the center of the cupcake to the outside six or seven times to create the webbed look.
4. Add fun Halloween stickers to some colorful toothpicks or cocktail picks to create spooky cupcake toppers!

We used these treat wrappers, treat cups, and bat stickers!

We hope you enjoy this easy and sweet Halloween treat!

Spider-Man Birthday Party

Our oldest son recently celebrated his 4th birthday.  Like most boys his age, he is completely obsessed with Spider-Man because he’s super cool and also because he is mostly red, which is our son’s favorite color.  We made spiderweb cupcakes which featured a picture of our son’s face with a Spider-Man mask.  The cupcakes were very easy to make and were a big hit. Here’s how we did it:

1. Frost cupcakes with white icing.
2. Using red icing with a decorator’s tip, pipe two or three concentric circles on top.
3. Drag a clean toothpick from the center of the cupcake to the outside six times to create the webbed look.
4. Put pictures of the birthday boy’s face on toothpicks and stick in each cupcake.

So easy!

Happy Birthday, sweetheart! You’re growing up so fast!
