How did you come up with your blog name?
My blog name is just my name since I’ve been using my name and logo on the back of my greeting cards for over 15 years.
Why did you start your blog?
It’s a wonderful way for me to not only keep up with creative projects I’d like to do in my own life, but also to organize my thoughts and share things that I admire or inspire me.
What do you love most about blogging?
Sharing my thoughts/ideas/projects with other people and ultimately feeling more connected. Having my studio at home is a blessing in so many ways, but sometimes it also feels isolating. Blogging has given me a new outlet to connect with other people.
What’s one goal you wish to accomplish this year?
Spending more time meditating and/or doing yoga to clear my head and find some peace and silence amongst the wonderful chaos that comes with being a mom to 2 young children.
What is your favorite social media site?
Pinterest. Whenever I’m looking for inspiration, new recipes, or creativity, I always seem to find it here (although if I’m careful, sometimes I spiral away from the original reason I was there!).
How would you describe your personal style?
Relaxed and comfortable with a little hint of style thrown in…
I love to include one interesting thing, whether it be a purse or an accessory – but I tend to shy away from trends that don’t work for me – especially ones that make me look even shorter than I already am!
Plus, having comfort is a must since I spend a lot of time chasing after little people.
If you could choose one store to shop at for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Ann Taylor Loft. While I love a variety of different stores and styles, they always have an amazing selection of petite styles – which is perfect for my towering 4’11”.
What is one fear you would like to conquer?
Being alone. I’ve always been a social person and thrive when I spend time with people. But I’ve been learning to enjoy and relish those fleeting moments when it’s just me.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Vicky Barone and I’m an artist, greeting card designer and a working mom. I’m really excited about sharing my everyday inspirations and I’m finally getting around to starting my blog. I’m hoping this will be a wonderful place to better organize my thoughts and document my creative process.
You can expect to find me sharing everything from textures, patterns and imagery, to exploring creative ways to connect with my children. My days sometimes start out with a very full agenda but are often hijacked by barking dogs, scraped knees, ringing phones and whatever else life brings my way. Balancing these responsibilities with my drive to live a creative life is always challenging but sometimes I find inspiration in the wonderful chaos.
There are days when having my studio in my home can make me feel isolated. Hopefully this blog will serve to be a forum for connecting with other creative people. I’ll also be featuring artists, products and spaces that speak to me. I look forward to seeing how this grows and hope you enjoy a glimpse into my world!
