DIY Clothespin Reindeer

Today we have an oldie, but a goodie: Clothespin Reindeer! These little guys are super easy to make, and with them you can be as creative as you’d like! We gave ours Christmas wreaths to go around their necks, but the possibilities for Santa’s reindeer are endless.

Materials: old fashioned clothes pins (three per reindeer), acrylic paint, red and brown pom poms, googly eyes, and hot glue.
For the wreaths: green pipe cleaner, red beads.*

Directions:
1. Paint the three clothespins with brown acrylic paint and let dry. Paint the tips of two of the clothespins with black acrylic paint to create the hooves. Let dry.*
2. Use a hot glue gun to assemble the body of the reindeer. Glue two clothespins together, both facing the same way. Glue the third clothespin upside down to make the head.
3. Glue a pom pom and two googly eyes to the upside down clothespin to create the face.
4. To make the wreath: cut a piece of pipe cleaner about four or five inches long. Thread four red beads onto the pipe cleaner, spread evenly apart. Turn the pipe cleaner into a circle and twist the ends together to fasten. Put the wreath around the reindeer’s necks.*

*optional

If you’d like to make these cuties into ornaments, tie or glue a ribbon around their bodies and hang them on your tree.
